Licensed mental health professionals and mental health practitioners utilize a therapeutic approach to empower youth to take an active role in increasing their functioning thereby creating more sustainability in their ability to cope through life’s up’s and downs. In addition, therapists embrace a culturally sensitive approach to addressing the needs of youth.
Cedric Weatherspoon, MA, LMFT
Cedric earned his Bachelors Degree in Social Science with a minor in Psychology from Mayville State University in 1992. He earned his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University, Twin Cities in 2007. He has 12 years experience working with high risk youth, families, and individuals with developmental delays.
Dominique Jones, MA, LMFT
Dominique holds a BA in Psychology from the University of MN Twin Cities and a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at Argosy University. She has been working with children and families for over 10 years. Dominique has a wide range of experience from residential, case management, as well as in-home, out-patient and school based therapy. She also has experience working with children and families involved in foster care and corrections systems. Dominique is very passionate about working with youth in transition and works
collaboratively to help them acquire the necessary independent living skills in order to achieve success. Dominique truly believes relational skills are a key component to progress and incorporates this in her work with clients. Some theoretical approaches include structural, cognitive, behavioral, experiential, narrative family and solution focused therapies.
Jennifer Oliver-King, LSW, LMFT
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Augustana College and has been a Licensed Social Worker in Minnesota since September 1989. In 2003, Jennifer earned her certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Jennifer has experience working with a wide variety of people. She has over 20 years experience working with youth, adults, families, battered women and correctional facilities. Currently she is responsible for the supervision of 6 agency staff and the services provided to clients including diagnostic assessments, on-site supervision, case consultation. Jennifer is also providing assistance to the management of internal operations of a therapy agency while maintaining an outpatient clinical caseload, and continuing to provide in-home based services.
